NHPO’s 15th Year Anniversary Celebration

This January, NHPO marked its 15-year anniversary, this milestone was cel-
ebrated at the 15th annual membership drive at the Houston Downtown
Aquarium led by NHPO Houston Chairwoman Ilsa Garcia and her team,
the event welcomed over 400 professionals, community leaders, and elected
officials including City of Houston Mayor, Sylvester Turner.
Since the inception of NHPO in Houston, Texas in 2004, founded by Ben
Mendez, the organization has been connecting professionals across the State.
Our membership are the epitome of top talent and opportunities available
today, catapulting the organization to become a powerhouse as an Interstate
Networking Organization.
NHPO is a Hispanic based membership organization that provides three ba-
sic deliverables to our members: Personal Development, Leadership Training,
Career Opportunities, and small Business Development. Being Hispanic is
not a requirement to be a member of the organization. NHPO welcomes
professionals from all disciplines, industries and backgrounds. The more di-
verse NHPO’s membership base is, the stronger and more effective NHPO
becomes.
The NHPO leadership recognizes the fact that no two cites or communities
are the same. Geographical location, demographic breakdown, regional influ-
