Rex Tillerson, the Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil, began his 41year career at one of the world’s largest companies as a production
engineer. If confirmed, Tillerson would be the first Secretary of State
in modern history without previous governmental experience in foreign policy or national security. At the same time, the ExxonMobil
chief executive has extensive international business experience,
having worked closely with foreign leaders on a range of complex
negotiations to advance the company’s interests around the world.
