Ludmila: MasterWord started as one of my homework assignments in the inaugural class in entrepreneurship at the University of Houston, currently known as the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship. The company started as an idea to serve businesses that work internationally by providing language support and allowing companies to communicate. Today MasterWord supports Houston’s international community by providing interpretation, translation, and localization services. We allow companies and their clients to communicate with each other and help them enter foreign markets to do business where other languages are spoken. Houston is a very international city, in fact the most multicultural city in the United States today, according to the Kinder Institute. We have 98 consular corps representatives, which means that Houston does a lot of international business. One in four people living in Houston was 38 iF Magazine | September 2016
