Conference (ILSC)

Sponsored by Master Word Services MWS, a Houston-based global language
solutions company, the full-day, multi-tiered conference was held at the Junior
League October 14, 2016. from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Continuing education
credits were provided for interpreters and translators certified by RID, BEI,
ATA, CCHI and IMIA.
By bringing together representatives from all aspects of the interpreting encounter, ILSC 2016.
ILSC Identified and addressed challenges from all stakeholder groups and
facilitated dialogue across many groups to enhance understanding of the challenges. A new conference format facilitated the collaboration that the conference organizers feel was crucial to tackling unique stakeholder challenges.
The morning sessions consisted of presentations from a representative of each
of the following stakeholder group: Interpreting Services Consumers, Hospital Administrations, Federal Compliance Advisers, Interpreter Certification
Organization and Interpreter Educators.
