Houston International Fashion Festival & Charity Gala
The Westin Galleria ballroom glittered and left audiences in awe as they attended the Houston International Fashion Festival . The event was organized by Azeem Farooqi and Eventeurs Art & Entertainment and showcased the top designers of many different cultures . Among them were HSY , Luis Gonzalez , Crystal Marie , Samreen , Rosy Ahluwalia , Sadia Khan and Lorena Nunez . The event was also attended by Imran Abbas ( actor ) and the Council General of Pakistan , Afzaal Mehmood .
The fashion show was divided into different sections with entertainment provided by PSA ( Pakistan Student Organization ), Carls Christman ( Mind Reader ) and MOTUS Dance Studio . The designers incorporated a variety of styles and cultures to create their clothing .
The first of its kind , this fashion show was attended by socialites and covered by many of the local media . They included TVONE Global Usa , which received an award for pioneering live television for South Asian communities in Houston .
The show also included an auction of art and jewelry , which was very highly received by the attendees . They event was able to raise thousands of dollars from the generosity of the bidders .
The event was extremely well organized and successful and paved the way for more South Asian designers to be well received in the future .
