lthough their origins are in drum brake lining manufacturing in Italy, the company the motorcycle industry knows today as Industrias Galfer S.A. was formed in Spain in 1952 as a result of owner Maffio Milesi’s prior collaborations in Italy with Fiat. A Fiat had been chosen by the Spanish government as the development partner and minority shareholder for SEAT, the car company established by the Spanish government as a project to kick-start the domestic Spanish automotive market, with the ambition of having as much component manufacturing as possible taking place in Spain.
