Farofa Brasil Ingredients: Farofa can be eaten with any kind of meat, especially with barbecue. It is also tasty with juicy food, such as rice and beans. 3 tsp butter 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil 1 medium onion, finely diced 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 ½ cup cassava flour (manioc flour) 300 g of bacon 300 g of fried sausage 4 eggs ½ tsp smoked paprika Salt Freshly ground black pepper ½ cup scallions, finely chopped There is no fixed recipe - each Brazilian family has its own recipe. It is important that no matter how you make your Farofa, with or without meat, with carrots, olives, or even banana, just make sure it is not dry! Steps: 1. Melt butter and olive oil until foamy. 2. Add finely diced onions and cook, stirring often, until translucent for 3 min. 3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 40 seconds. 4. Fry the bacon and the sausage and add it to the mix. 5. Add the eggs, stir until the eggs are scrambled, but not too fried. 6. Add cassava flour and smoked paprika. 7. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring often, until golden brown, 7 to 9 min.
