Traditional Russian soup, well known in other
Eastern European countries.
Ingredients:
1 beetroot
2 onions
2 carrots
3 tomatoes
1 green Apple
Black pepper
Bay leaves
½ lemon
½ cabbage
7-8 potatoes
Olive oil
Kidney beans
Garlic
Parsley
Sour cream to top off
Steps:
1. Cut up all vegetables.
2. Put water to boil with bay leaves, black pepper and ½
of a lemon.
3. Saute beets, carrots, tomatoes, apples and onions
with olive oil.
4. Place your potatoes and the dised cabbage in the
boiling water.
5. Place the sauted vegtables in the boiling water untill
beets are soft.
6. Once beets are soft, chop up 4 garlic cloves and add
in water for 5 more min.
7. Chop up parsley and place on top of soup.
8. Top off with sour cream.
