1958. It was only on the basis of officially binding international regulations that
six-person teams were started, which was due to the formation of the famous
female team in Osaka - NICHIBO. in Europe, volleyball was the most popular in
Czechoslovakia, Estonia and Latvia. In Poland, in the years 1920 - 1927, the game
developed very dynamically and depending on the region of the country had
different rules and names, and so it was: "flying ball", "drobówka", "pierijanka".
in 1921/22, volleyball is introduced into physical education programs in schools.
in 1923 the first championship of the city of Warsaw were played, in which the
team from the gymnasium named after them won. Reytana. The volleyball was
gaining more and more followers and it was mainly cultivated in Warsaw,
Krakow, Lviv, Vilnius, and Bialystok. There also the first volleyball teams are
formed. in 1926 the first meeting of the school representations of Warsaw and
Lodz took place. Significant for the fate of the volleyball was 1928, in which the
Polish Union of Team Games was created covering 6 sport disciplines: palant,
