This small, well-written book is a call to
dedicate yourself TO yourself through the
pursuit of authenticity, purpose, belonging and truth. Deeply perceptive questions introduce each short chapter as the
reader is encouraged to examine their life
and the beliefs that keep us separate from
each other.

The chapter entitled “The Five Essential
Needs” asks these questions of the reader:
Are you fulfilled? Do you feel that your
needs are being met? Are you even aware
of what it is you need is lacking? Levinson’s questions and ensuing commentary
take the reader into a valuable exploration
of our soul’s journey. In the author’s own
words about the book, “It is about shifting
from a life spent immersed in mediocrity
to one lived beyond all hopes an expectations.”
The Examined Life reflects the deep contemplations, observations and honesty of
the author. This Canadian yoga teacher
based in Montreal, lectures and blogs on
the wisdom he has engendered through
his teaching. Levinson can be followed
