NEWS GBM implements IBM’s PureData Appliance for Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange debuted a new business intelligence and data warehousing platform, provided by Gulf Business Machines. GBM completed the implementation of the enterprise business intelligence and data warehousing platform project earlier this year. The new platform is engineered to support ADX’s senior management and business users with their decision-making process, providing them with executive dashboards across sectors, armed with key performance indicators and insights, presented in a quick accessible manner. ADX users now have the capability to generate their own business reports on an ad-hoc basis and work with GBM completed implementation of the enterprise business intelligence and data warehousing platform project earlier this year. the available data without the need for IT specialists. GBM has delivered an efficient, pragmatic, and cost- effective platform that will allow ADX senior management and business users to better leverage the wealth of their data assets.” Mubadala’s Turbine Services and Solutions to use Honeywell’s Maintenance and Inspection voice system Under the terms of the agreement, the global software-industrial company’s voice system will lead to a Hands-Free, Eyes-Free environment that reduces paper based documentation. Turbine Services and Solutions, a solutions, maintenance, repair and overhaul provider for gas turbines and driven equipment, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company, is set to introduce the region’s first voice technology for MRO projects. The partnership was finalised in a signing ceremony during MRO Middle East and will enable TS&S to become the first aerospace company in the Middle East to use Honeywell’s Maintenance and Inspection voice system. Under the terms of the agreement, the global software-industrial company’s voice system will lead to a Hands-Free, Eyes-Free environment that significantly reduces paper based documentation within TS&S operations by allowing mechanics to speak log their observations and diagnosis in real- time, curtailing the need for manual data entry and improving data integrity. The Honeywell M&I voice system offers advanced voice and sound-recognition capabilities, and will integrate with TS&S’ Materials Requirement Planning MRP system, allowing for the automation of existing processes. 9
