Souheil Moukaddem
promoted to
drive Booz Allen
Hamilton’s MENA
business
Booz Allen Hamilton continues to build on
its regional capabilities and is focused on
making a positive impact on the clients
and communities it serves in the Middle
East and North Africa region. In line with
this vision, Souheil Moukaddem has
recently been promoted to Executive Vice
President to lead Booz Allen Hamilton’s
overall business in the region. He has been
expanding the company’s MENA business
with his wide-ranging expertise across
multiple markets.
This includes deep functional
capabilities in large transformation
programmes, change management, human
capital, data science, integration of digital
capabilities into business operations, and
workplace engineering.
Moukaddem will drive Booz Allen
Hamilton’s support for regional public and
private sector clients that will enable them to
solve some of their most difficult challenges
through a combination of business strategy,
digital innovation, and resilience.
Hani Raad appointed
General Manager for
Cisco Middle East,
West Region
Cisco announced the appointment of Hani
Raad as General Manager for its West
Region in the Middle East. In his
new role, Hani Raad will focus on
leading Cisco’s digital transformation
initiatives in Kuwait, Bahrain,
Qatar, the Levant and Iraq, and
will work closely with its partner
ecosystem to support government
and private sector customers on
their digitisation journeys, while
helping them drive desired business
outcomes. According to McKinsey

Owen Taraniuk moves from EMC to
Commvault to expand global partnerships
and drive go to market
Commvault, a global vendor in enterprise
backup, recovery, archive and the
cloud, announced the appointment of
Owen Taraniuk to Head of Worldwide
Partnerships and Market Development at
Commvault. In this new position, Taraniuk
will be responsible for leading the creation
and execution of Commvault’s global go-to-
market strategy and indirect partnerships.
Taraniuk’s 25 years of experience in
the technology solutions industry ideally
positions him for this new role. His
experience includes senior leadership roles
for multi-national organizations across
EMEA and APJ, including Kofax, Open Text
Corporation, Groupe Inova, ABS Group and
Dun & Bradstreet Software. Prior to joining
Commvault, Taraniuk was the Vice President
of Asia Pacific and Japan for EMC2
Corporation, Enterprise Content Division.
Taraniuk and the Worldwide
Partnerships and Market Development
team will work closely with Commvault’s Solutions Groups and Marketing to jointly
align and drive existing and new solutions
to market.
Taraniuk joined Commvault in October
2015 as Vice President of Asia Pacific
and Japan. During the last two years, his
strategic vision and development of a
strong leadership team led to greater cross-
functional engagement, an expanded set
of partnerships and significant customer
growth in the region.
Global Institute’s Industry Digitisation
Index, several countries in the Middle
East are making significant strides in the
digitisation surge. Bahrain, for example,
has been adopting progressive digitisation
policies supported by widespread Internet
and smartphone penetration and increased
usage of social media.
Having joined Cisco over 11 years ago,
Hani has a diverse 24-year background
of regional ICT sector experience coupled
with cross-industry exposure. He has held
various executive
positions in
emerging markets,
where he was
responsible for
building strategic
sales strategies
while driving the
message on the
need to prioritise
the digital agenda to support emerging country innovation,
prosperity and social inclusion. As General
Manager for the Middle East’s West Region,
Hani will be responsible for overseeing
Cisco’s business operations and driving its
growth plans across his markets. In this
expanded role, he will leverage Cisco’s
growing portfolio of solutions and work to
strengthen collaboration with governments
and Cisco’s partner network to ensure that
Cisco remains the region’s partner of choice
for digitisation.
Countries in the West Region have
already taken strides in driving economic
growth by stimulating innovation and
knowledge spill overs. Kuwait has been
one of the top movers in WEF’s Networked
Readiness Index, with substantial
improvements in ICT usage and impact,
largely driven by high business and individual
adoption levels and aligned with its New
Kuwait 2035 Vision’s plan for transforming
itself into a digital society and economy.
