Hunt Electronic has recently launched
its 4G Torch Camera and Mobile Control
System. It is meant to assist the first
responder teams, maintenance crews
and exploration teams, in the sectors of
railways, power, telecom, construction,
roadworks, oilfields, and drilling. The
device requires access to either a wireless
network or a 4G service provider network.
Its use case is around the requirement
of having a connected device that can
function in day and night by providing
regular and infra-red illumination, provide
real-time video and audio streaming, take
pictures or video recordings, and share its
location via Google Maps.

“This device is especially useful where a
wired network cannot reach and where a
defect or an event needs to be inspected
and recorded,” says Tony Yi-Chung Chie,

helps to remove the limitations in the past
of using a handheld wireless in one hand
and a torch in the other, without enabling
the control centre to see in real time, what
the advance crews can see at the site of an
event. During after dark situations, the
device uses infra-red illumination, to view
the site of the event and video-stream in
real-time.
The 4G Torch Camera and Mobile Control
System is equipped with an emergency
call button that alerts the call centre. The
device uses a SIM card for connectivity
and can be located with GPS trace on
Google Maps. It is certified with various
global agencies including TELEC, CE, FCC,
VCCI and PSE.
