Commvault reaffirms partnerships with Huawei,
STC, Microsoft, Cisco
Huawei
Commvault and Huawei have a successful
history of working together, the latest
edition of which is set to deepen the
cooperation between the two companies
in the area of data backup with the launch
of a Hybrid Cloud Backup Solution for
Huawei Cloud. This solution provides
organisations with an easy-to-use,
economical and secure solution for
backing up workloads running between
traditional datacentres and public clouds.
“Data is the core asset for enterprises
looking to undertake digital transformation.
As such, its value can never be over-
estimated. We are excited to be working
again with Commvault, this time building
a hybrid cloud backup solution that will
provide easy-to-use data management and
secure data protection for hybrid cloud
environments and in the process helping
enterprises leverage cloud architecture to
optimise data asset services,” commented

Microsoft
Commvault showcased its ability to help
customers accelerate data migration
through its support for new Microsoft
technologies and features, such as
Microsoft Azure Archive Blob Storage,
a service on the Azure cloud platform
providing customers with considerable
cost savings for storing data with long
retention and compliance requirements.

In addition to support of Azure
Archive Blob Storage and Azure Data Box,
Commvault is also highlighting its data
management integration for Azure Stack,
the on-premises cloud option for large
enterprises and managed services providers.

Last year saw STC and Commvault
announce a memorandum of
understanding that targeted the public
sector and small and medium enterprises
in Saudi Arabia with a new cloud offering.
Since Gitex 2016, cloud adoption across
the Gulf region has continued apace and
so has the realisation that different types
of cloud environments suit different
applications and data sets, and therefore
require different backup strategies.

Commvault joins the Cisco
SolutionsPlus Programme at a time when
enterprise and midmarket customers are
facing increased data challenges fueled
by the exponential growth in the amount
of data to store, manage and analyse,
and increasing risk of security breaches.
Commvault mitigates this challenge
through its robust data platform that
defends against the growing variety of
threats, while providing customers the
flexibility to reliably manage data stored in
the datacentre and in the cloud.
