threat updates NORTH AMERICA Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen issued a notice to inform customers that some of its restaurants had been the victims of cyberattacks which may have resulted in unauthorised access to, or the acquisition of, payment card information between November 3 2017 and January 2 2018. Once Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen learned of the incident, it engaged a third-party cybersecurity firm to investigate; current systems and networks were not impacted by this incident. 24 NORTH AMERICA Air Canada asked Mobile+ app users to reset their accounts as a security precaution following unusual behaviour detected on the app between August 22 to 24. The airline immediately took action to block these attempts and implemented additional protocols to protect against further unauthorised attempts but as an additional security precaution, it locked all Air Canada mobile app accounts to protect its customers’ data.
