If you could go back and change one career decision what would it be ?
There is no ‘ what if ’ in history . I don ’ t look back ; development is a natural process ; mistakes are part of the experience .
What do you currently identify as the major areas of investment in the cybersecurity industry ?
To have your business protected it takes more than being alerted to incidents . Money Loss Prevention is the new concept which we are willing to enter the markets with . There are many factors which lead to financial loss , it ’ s not just leaks . A balanced and well managed approach , as well as the ability to see the whole picture , will enhance security . The search for the source of a problem and its detection helps to prevent losses .

Are there any differences in the way cybersecurity challenges need to be tackled in the different regions ? Middle East , Africa , Europe , Americas . . . .
There ’ s one aspect of information security Europe seems to see not the way the above-mentioned regions do . They regard control and the limits of it differently . Monitoring employees with the help of IT instruments has always been considered inappropriate , even if that ’ s what it takes to secure the access to confidential information .
To draw the line between private life and work is still not easy . People often have to go to court to solve this problem . Court used to rule in favour of both employers and employees . Now there are new regulations which are coming into force – GDPR is going to make it clear and define human rights in the workplace , indicate which information is private and is out of corporate control .
European companies are sceptical about employee monitoring and staff
activity analysing . They are discreet concerning personal data and private life of employees and prefer to trust each other in professional relationships . Unfortunately , employers get deceived , and the statistics of cybercrimes affect Europe as much as other regions . We have been watching organisations grow interested in information security products all over the world .
In such regions as the Middle East , Africa , Latin America there ’ s a bigger enthusiasm for control observed among businesses . They are willing to know everything about possible ways of monitoring and existing risks . Our experience shows that in these countries companies are worried about both external and internal threats .

What changes to your job role have you seen in the last year and how do you see these developing in the next 12 months ?
A year ago we started to get acquainted with the foreign market . We have opened offices in key regions – Latin America , the Middle East and South Africa . Communication with media and companies ’ executives led us to realise the relevance of security inner threats in the international market . Road Show conferences are a part of the international expansion strategy which we have recently begun to implement and would like to keep executing . It is extremely important to all of us to be aware of information security trends ; to learn about new threats and improve business protection strategy . These conferences became the platform for all the parties – companies , information security specialists and developers – for meeting and sharing their knowledge , discussing issues and finding solutions .
What advice would you offer somebody aspiring to obtain C-level position in the security industry ?
It is crucial to really like what you do and do it responsibly as well as to get involved with each and every process , accept challenges and introduce innovative technology . u
