Al Taqnyah automates the Moot
Courts Competition
Al Taqnyah Business Solutions has rolled-out an end-to-end
electronic competition and awards management system to
Maktoum Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum Initiatives for Legal
Excellence, a key milestone in the e-Transformation journey
of the prestigious moot courts competition.
The System enables end to end electronic management of
the competition from candidate registration till awarding
spanning auditing, candidature defense, jury evaluation,
report generation and result announcement.

of Maktoum bin Mohammed initiatives for Moot court
competition commented, “The System not only aligns with
the vision of the organisational committee, but exceeds its
expectations. It was a key factor in the success of the 2016
edition of the competition, a first edition where all gulf
countries were represented, making it a memorable and
efficient experience to all competition stakeholders”.

convenience and ease of adjudicating process was felt
immediately compared to the manual process used
last year. The solution also supports us to showcase
transparency, and therefore we avoided complaints which
we received last year from competitors, as they witnessed
all the draws and the rewarding happen live.” He concluded

Award in the category of ‘Smart
ePayment Gateway Excellence Award‘,
which is organised by the Middle East
Excellence Awards Institute to recognise
the strategic role played by government

The ePay service, which enables individual
and corporate customers to electronically
pay the fees of government services
provided by the participating government
entities round the clock from anywhere, was
launched in 2003, while the 5th generation
of the service was launched in 2014.
H.E. Wesam Al Abbas Lootah, CEO of SDG,
said: “We are working in collaboration with
our strategic partners in several government
and private entities in Dubai to form an
integrated team and combine efforts for
employing the modern innovation-based
concepts and foreseeing the future with the
aim of providing innovative smart solutions
and hence achieving sustainable happiness
