DEWA’s Green Bill supports Smart
Dubai Initiative

DEWA announced the initial launch of
the Green Bill in July 2012 to enhance
its efforts to protect the environment
and promote sustainability. The Green
Bill is an electronic version of the
regular paper bill, which customers will
receive through monthly emails.
The service was launched, on an
optional basis, in August 2012, in
support of the Green Economy for
Sustainable Development initiative
launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President
and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai, to promote sustainable
development in Dubai.
“The Green Bill is a valuable addition
to DEWA’s achievements as it reflects
one of the main objectives of the 4th
generation government excellence
system. It also supports the directives
of our wise leadership to promote
the happiness of customers and
develop all the government services
by transforming them to smart
services. Through this initiative, DEWA
“DEWA re-designed its Green Bill in
April 2015, to provide customers with
information about their electricity
and water. It also contains tips and
information to manage their use. The
total number of customers receiving
the green bill reached 738.360,
representing 97.13% of the total
number of DEWA’s customers as of
June 30, 2016,” noted Al Tayer.
World’s first robotics and
innovation store to open
in Dubai
Action-to-Action is set to open the world’s first robotic
and innovations store in Dubai. “Innovators”, which will be
located at Dubai Festival City, is the only retail concept of its
kind, dedicated to visualising the future transformation of
consumer electronics retail.
The store opens to the public on July 3, and will feature more
than one hundred innovative robotics and unique brands
such as EZ Robot, Wonder Workshop, DTS Robotics, Amaryllo,
Quitbit, and Sen.se, to name a few. Innovators will enable
visitors to have a hands-on experience with the latest robotics
technology and innovations from some of the world’s latest
brands. It will have a dedicated section for robotics, where
shoppers can interact with the many robots and learn more
about their functions, and even purchase their very own robot. customers demand more from their devices. The world is
embracing robotics, and we are proud to be the first to offer
robots that suit a variety of segments such as education,
services, recreation and for domestic functions. We are
making some of the world’s best brands accessible to our
customers in the region,” says Cizar Abugazaleh, Managing
