PROJECT UPDATE QATAR QATAR Levtech Consulting has announced that it has been selected by Construction Development Company ( CDC) Group to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. The project aims to automate business functions and build a single operational platform across the Group. CDC was looking for a comprehensive ERP that would facilitate the seamless flow of information between different departments and help in coordinating resources and activities across the organisation. Being a project-based firm, some of the key reasons for CDC to undertake this initiative was to optimise inventory costs, improve project controls and to have accurate data for decision making. They expect to go live with the solution by July 2016. UAE UAE Gemalto has been chosen by RAKBANK to support its migration to contactless EMV payments to benefit from this system’s speed, convenience and security. Gemalto is supplying RAKBANK with its dual interface cards, which will be personalised by the Bank using the already implemented Gemalto Dexxis issuance system. RAKBANK is initially deploying the cards for the launch of its new RED MasterCard, offering customers all the benefits of swift ‘tap and go’ transactions, alongside an attractive package of loyalty and saving programmes. Afterwards the bank’s entire payment card portfolio will be upgraded to dual interface technology. Adoption of Gemalto contactless cards puts RAKBANK at the forefront of the powerful trend towards contactless payments that is evident across the Middle East and Africa. Latest research shows that 272 million contactless cards will have been issued in the region by 2019, with an annual growth rate of 45% www.intelligentcio.com INTELLIGENTCIO 21
