PROJECT UPDATE LATEST REGIONAL PROJECT UPDATE KUWAIT KUWAIT GE Healthcare and its partner Advanced Technology Company have been awarded by the Kuwait Ministry of Health to support the expansion of Al Amiri Hospital as part of the Ministry’s strategic healthcare infrastructure modernisation plan. The new partnership will provide a range of healthcare technologies, including CT and MR devices, to improve diagnostic capabilities. Technologies to be installed at Al Amiri include GE Healthcare’s Discovery PET/CT 710 - a hybrid imaging system which combines PET, used to record molecular activity that is indicative of rapid tumour growth, with CT, which focuses on anatomic location or the physical size of a tumour. The two images together provide both the location of the tumour in the body and the molecular activity in the tumour. SAUDI ARABIA SAUDI ARABIA Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has selected the Teradata Aster Big Data Analytics Appliance as well as Teradata Hadoop to leverage customer insights and drive business efficiency. In aiming to better understand its customers, STC deployed Teradata Aster, Teradata Hadoop appliance to capture and analyse social media data, as well as to manage and collect customer feedback data. The Teradata Aster solution will improve business decision- making by increasing the accuracy and speed of data-driven business insights, and by delivering measurable improvements in organisational performance and productivity.
