Dubai welcomes back
Smart Dubai’s Future
Blockchain Summit
T
he seventh edition of GISEC is expected
to attract more than 7,000 cyber-specific
visitors to Dubai. The show, one of the most
impactful in the region, is co-located with
IoTX and the Future Blockchain Summit, and
collectively 12,000 visitors are expected.
Tackling global cybersecurity issues, GISEC
attracts a captive audience of decision
makers from over 200 government
departments and leading enterprises in the
Middle East. The agenda is directed by a
powerful advisory board of senior end-users
from Dubai Electronic Security Centre, Dubai
Police and Smart Dubai.
The mission of the event, which takes
place from April 1 and 3, is to bring visitors
the most innovative and game-changing
security solutions for AI, Blockchain, IOT
and enterprise cybersecurity. CIOs, CISOs
and CTOs along with their teams and
departments will travel from 86 countries
to learn about the next disruptive events to
affect their departments and understand the
next moves of the senior leaders in Middle
East based companies.
Speakers include Abdulla Bader Al Sayari,
CISO, Department of Health, Abu Dhabi, the
man responsible for securing Abu Dhabi’s
Department of Health through its Digital
Transformation; and Ahmed Attalla, a
17-year-old ethical hacker.
Other speakers include Paul Down, Senior
Director, Proofpoint. He has over 15 years of
experience focusing on employee behaviour
analytics, criminal cyber investigations and
insider threat detection and prevention.
Also on the speakers list are Basil Alothman,
Founder and Managing Director, Kuwait
Hackers LLC, and Brian O’Toole, CISO, Ericsson.

mart Dubai’s Future Blockchain
Summit returns to the city in April, as
the emirate continues its surge towards
becoming the world’s first government to
execute all applicable transactions using
Blockchain technology by 2020.
In line with the Dubai Blockchain
Strategy, the second annual Future
Blockchain Summit will take place on
April 2 and 3 at the Dubai World Trade
Centre (DWTC).
Officially hosted by the Smart Dubai
Office, the two-day event will bring
together an agenda-setting global pool
of technology visionaries, government
bodies, the world’s biggest brands and
industry first-movers to push Blockchain
forward and champion its adoption on a
global scale.
Future Blockchain Summit 2019 will shine
the spotlight on excelling Blockchain
technologies, moving conversation beyond
theoretical use-cases and into real-life
opportunities. It will look at Blockchain use
across the world’s most integral industries,
including retail and e-commerce,
healthcare, transportation, education,
food, hospitality and tourism, energy,
fintech and banking, safety and security.
It is expected to welcome more than
8,000 international visitors, and will host
speakers from world-renowned brands like
Coca-Cola, Tencent, Johnson & Johnson,
Maersk, HSBC, eBay and Lufthansa.
Government entities including du, Dubai
Land Department and Dubai Health
Authority will all be on-hand to showcase
their advancements and use cases in the
revolutionary technology.
