Batelco, in collaboration with Palo Alto Networks and
Westcon Group, has held a workshop on the Palo Alto
Networks Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) focussing on
security solutions for next generation enterprises. The session
was designed to give participants an opportunity to learn more
about Palo Alto’s latest security solutions and how to apply
them. A virtual lab environment was created, where the
performance of the product was tested.
UAE
IEC Telecom and Inmarsat have been working together
on the issue of maritime connectivity in the Middle
East. The companies hosted a panel session at Seatrade
Maritime Middle East at Dubai World Trade Centre. The
companies believe maritime connectivity is an area that is
ripe for development as there are no longer any fundamental
technological or financial barriers in the way of decent
connectivity at sea. It is hoped the advances, which have
propelled the networked economy on land, are now fully
available to the maritime sector via satellite.
