COUNTRY FOCUS: BAHRAIN The BUB is a partner of The University of Salford, near Manchester, and will bring the university’s globally recognised academic programmes to Bahrain. For the first time Bahraini students will be able to study for British degrees in such areas as Engineering and Information and Communications Technology as well as traditional business specialties. As part of the MoU, Batelco will be the exclusive sponsor of the British University of Bahrain’s ICT College. The MoU will also incorporate collaborative research and development opportunities, training and capacity building activities for BUB and Batelco to benefit from in the areas of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
