Middle East posts world’s highest
increase in data breach costs to
USD five million

Encouragingly, the Middle East does have
the world’s second-highest spending on
data breach response at USD 1.43 million
per organisation, the report adds. Data

Worldwide organisations are facing
increasing risk of material data breaches

criminal activity. As organisations deploy
cloud applications and connect more devices
to networks, they are also increasing the risk
for data breaches.
As a result, the average Middle East
organisational cost of data breaches
has risen by 20% from USD 4.12 million
in 2016 to USD 4.94 million in 2017,
according to a recent report by the
