their planned on-site activities for Gitex

itex Technology Week 2017 kicks
off from October 8 to 12 at Dubai
World Trade Centre, built on various
underlying themes. A key theme is a
selection of specialist technology sectors
that are driving digital transformation.
These include augmented and
virtual reality, global Smart Cities
technology, Internet of Things,
smart manufacturing, 3D Printing,
network infrastructure and security,
cloud, data centres, Gulfcomms and
mobility, value added distributors,
fintechs, consumer technology, future
tech, printing and business automation, and
global SMEs.
Another significant change is the improvement to
the co-located Gitex Technology Week Conference
to include vertical market focus. These have been
expanded since 2016 to include marketing, healthcare,
Smart Cities, retail, finance, smart manufacturing, women in
tech, transportation, construction and education.
Last year’s Gitex Technology Week 2016 presented the Gitex Global
Startup Movement, with more than 400 startups from 60 countries,
representing 1,000 entrepreneurs. Gitex Technology Week 2016
attracted 147,000 plus visitors, close to 4,500 exhibitors, and was
spread across an area of 93,000 square metres. A summary of what

Gitex 2017 follows:

On display will be the Aruba asset tracking solution that is
fully integrated into the Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure and helps
