GITEX 2016 SPECIAL
INFOBLOX
Infoblox will make the Middle East launch of its
Actionable Network Intelligence Platform that
uses its network intelligence to provide actionable
control points, visibility, and context. It will also
demonstrate its DNS Firewall as a service solution
that extends the company’s DNS protection to
roaming devices off premise, as well as Infoblox
Threat Insight that prevents DNS based data
exfiltration with built-in streaming analytics.
SILVER PEAK
Silver Peak will showcase its Unity EdgeConnect
SD-WAN solution at GITEX. which provides
distributed enterprises with virtual overlays to
connect users to applications.
“Virtual overlays add the software-defined in
software-defined WAN by automating widearea networks. Overlays provide an abstraction
layer that virtualises the underlying transport,
and enables network administrators to quickly
configure and deploy wide-area networks, cost
effectively securely and at scale,” explained
Bhaskar Peruri, Regional Manager, Middle East
at Silver Peak.
The Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN
solution, which enables the firm to deliver
on its vision of virtual application overlays,
enables enterprises to reduce the cost and
complexity of building a WAN by leveraging
any combination of broadband transport
to connect users to applications without
compromising application performance.
“Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect solutions
enable IT organisations to augment or replace
their legacy MPLS networks with enterprisegrade broadband, further ushering in the age
of the software-defined wide area network.
It also delivers highly enhanced application
visibility and control,” added Peruri. “With a
number of successful customer deployments
across the region, we’re looking forward
to continued success in enabling and
empowering our extensive partner network”.
“Today, many organisations are mired in
confusion when it comes to securing their
networks and broader IT infrastructure. Threat
intelligence services give warnings, but don’t
provide a path for translating that information
into action. Monitoring systems warn of malicious
activity within a network, but don’t give clarity on
where to find infected devices, user information,
and other metadata. Most important, network
and security administrators are drowning in data
and alerts, with no easy way to prioritise effective
and timely threat response,” said Cherif Sleiman,
General Manager, MEA, Infoblox.
The company will also demonstrate its Infoblox
DNS Firewall as a Service solution – an upcoming
cloud-based service that expands the value of
customer investment in Infoblox by providing
visibility, policy management, and context-aware
security for devices on-premise and off-premise.
Executives from the company will also showcase
the Infoblox Threat Insight solution. Theft of
sensitive or regulated data and intellectual
property is one of the most serious risks to an
enterprise. DNS is frequently used as a pathway
for data exfiltration, because it is not inspected by
common security products such as firewalls, IDS
and proxies.
