GITEX 2016 SPECIAL
RIVERBED TECHNOLOGY
In-line with the theme ‘Experience the Future
of Networking’, Riverbed intends to unveil
its latest SteelConnect, SteelCentral, and
SteelFusion solutions. Through its collaboration
with Microsoft, Riverbed will also showcase its
solutions for optimisation and visibility for the
highly popular Office 365, SharePoint and Azure
platforms.
ARUBA (A HPE COMPANY)
Aruba will be launching Aruba Mobile-First
Platform at GITEX. The platform includes
a set of software solutions and business
partnerships, designed to make the enterprise
network smarter, while being easier to
consume and manage.
Ammar Enaya, Regional Director, HPE Aruba,
Middle East & Turkey says, “Today, CIOs are
accountable for the success of mobile and
IoT initiatives, many of which depend on the
availability of a reliable, secure wireless network
infrastructure. They are being asked to provide
relevant data and insights about the success or
failure of such projects, even if they were not
the one to make the decision around device and
technology choices for mobile and IoT.”
The Aruba Mobile First Platform, a software
layer that uses application programming
interfaces (APIs) to provide third-party
developers and business leaders network
insights to improve applications and services.
The platform accelerates integration and
innovation of mobile and IoT at the speed
of the developer ecosystem, rather than the
pace of a single vendor.
Earlier this year, Riverbed introduced
SteelConnect, a product to unify network
connectivity and orchestration of application
delivery across hybrid WANs, remote LANs and
cloud networks. SteelConnect 2.0 includes new
platform integrations, native dynamic routing,
and support for large-scale deployments.
Commenting on this, Taj ElKhayat, Regional
Vice President, Middle East and Africa, said,
“SD-WAN represents the future of networking
and is a market that will rapidly grow to $6
billion in 2020. Riverbed is at the forefront
of this technology revolution and we will use
GITEX as a platform to educate attendees on
how this approach can solve the complexity in
hybrid clouds and networks, improve efficiency
and flexibility and enable them to easily shift
workloads and deploy new applications and
services.”
In addition to its own stand at GITEX, Riverbed
will also have a presence at Microsoft’s booth
as a platinum level sponsor, where it will
showcase demonstrations for its SteelHead and
SteelCentral AppInternals 10 solutions to support
Microsoft customers as they embrace their
journey into the cloud while achieving visibility,
optimisation, and control.

To position partners to be highly competitive
in the rapidly changing mobility networking
market, Aruba is introducing the Partner Ready
for Networking program. This new channel
program takes the best elements of the Aruba
PartnerEdge and HPE Partner Ready programs
to create a new program that enables partners
to capitalise on the burgeoning enterprise
mobility market opportunity.
