CASE STUDY SURVEILLANCE In this case study we examine The Millennium Airport Hotel, Dubai, and it’s installation of a storage and cabling infrastructure backbone for support of a newly introduced hi-resolution IP CCTV system. T he Requirement. There was an existing worldwide agreement in place for the hotel’s current security cameras which specified the brand of camera installed in its premises. The cameras were all analogue based and situated at various points around the entire hotel grounds. There had been a number of cases where poor image quality had prevented recorded incidents being successfully resolved. Therefore the hotel management team decided to introduce a more sophisticated camera system to help increase security.
