major road intersections, continuously scan
the surrounding environment. Both types of
cameras ensure real time monitoring of the
urban area through the control rooms. The
SensorTec city surveillance functions include
real time monitoring of all cameras, easy
archive playback as images are recorded,
and fast pan-tilt-zoom camera control.

traffic control system which has enabled
various Cairo authorities to manage high
traffic volumes dynamically, minimise traffic
congestion and optimise the use of the
