NEWS KSA Orange Business Services appoints country manager for Saudi Arabia Orange Business Services has appointed Mohammad Turki Al-Otaibi as country manager, Saudi Arabia. Mohammad is a Saudi national with more than 20 years of experience of technology solutions for both enterprise and government sectors. He takes over the management role from Laurent Marini who has moved to another position in the Orange Group. Al-Otaibi’s career spans more than a decade of leadership roles, including vice president for sales and solutions with Ericsson Saudi Arabia, project manager in the oil and gas sector at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and lead software engineer with the Saudi Arabian Air Force. He holds an MBA from the University of Hull in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in Information Computer Science from the King Saud University, Riyadh. “The appointment of Mohammad Turki Al-Otaibi as country manager will help us drive our business forward to further develop some of the unique business opportunities that are coming from the rapid economic growth that is being driven by major infrastructure projects and smart city developments here,” said Richard Van Wageningen, senior vice president, indirect, Middle East, Africa and Russia, Orange Business Services. Mohammad Turki Al-Otaibi, new country manager for Saudi Arabia Commvault expands in KSA Commvault, a global leader in enterprise backup, recovery, archive and the cloud, is to open a new office in Saudi Arabia. The office will open in Riyadh, with the official opening to follow in January or February 2018. Christian Laing, Vice President Sales, EMEA, Commvault, said: “First of all it’s a commitment to the region. We have a team there and we have partners there so it’s a commitment to our customers, partners and our own people. “There is a growth opportunity now specifically in Saudi Arabia and we are watching on a daily basis what is going on there,” N. When asked if anticipated reforms in Saudi Arabia could open up new opportunities for business, Hammer said: “Yes – in theory – but as we’ve been reading recently it’s also caused some internal turmoil over there and that’s got to settle down – that defocusses everyone for a while. “We just want to work with our customers in these markets.
