OAB opens flagship
Qurum branch
area, offering efficient and accessible services from the new
flagship premises.
The official opening took place under the auspices of His
Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sa’eedi, the
Minister of Legal Affairs, and was attended by Amin Al
Husseini, CEO of Oman Arab Bank, and Rashad Al Musafir,
DCEO of Oman Arab Bank.
Oman Arab bank (OAB) has officially opened its new flagship
branch in Qurum. The new branch has been relocated from
its previous location at the Al Araimi Complex to a more
prominent location at Burj Al Amal in Qurum.
With the opening of the customer centric branch, OAB aims
to deliver enhanced banking facilities in the greater Qurum
Amin Al Husseini said: “The branch features the very best
in technology, products, and most importantly – personal
service – that we as a bank are proud to offer. As a result,
this new branch will elevate the banking experience for
our customers which is a key priority in our nationwide
transformation strategy.”
The branch has seen the introduction of video walls for bank
news, private advisory spaces with moving monitor screens,
together with digital signature pads and ID Card readers.
Oman’s ITA chooses Oracle for
G-Cloud initiative
The Information Technology Authority (ITA) of Oman has
chosen a suite of Oracle Cloud solutions to create a robust IT
infrastructure that will power its G-Cloud initiative for various
e-transformation projects.
The announcement was made at an event attended by
Dr Salim Al Ruzaiqi, Chief Executive Officer, ITA and Abdul
Rahman Al Thehaiban, Senior Vice President Tech, Middle East
and Africa, Oracle.
Dr Salim Al Ruzaiqi said: “At ITA we are focused on creating
a modern government infrastructure that delivers swift,
transparent and intuitive services to citizens, residents and
visitors and engaging in such MoUs will serve that purpose as
Oracle has great G-Cloud solutions and an accredited record in
encouraging entrepreneurship.”
Furthermore, in continuation of its efforts to drive digital
transformation in Oman, Oracle also signed two MoU’s to
support ITA Oman’s Sas Programme for Entrepreneurship
and also launch Oracle’s first Oman IT Graduate programme
with ITA.

Under the entrepreneurship programme, Oracle will guide
Omani startups on the importance of cloud technology to
achieve business objectives with mentoring programmes,
expert talks, workshops and also by providing access to
Oracle Partner Network.
