CASE STUDY What would you say are the specific business results generated by the project? As a part of a number of initiatives driven by our services division, Dubai Police have experienced an increase in citizen happiness. Can you elaborate on other IT systems and solutions used in this project? There are a number of other systems, such as various key applications, monitoring tools and telephony that are integrated with assyst, providing seamless collaboration and automation. Did you have a similar system previously? Previously we had a similar system but it wasn’t covering all of our requirements. It was only covering part of the helpdesk software and we didn’t have the service catalogues and the knowledge management. These are covered by the Axios system. What benefits does the system bring for police officers? Does it make their job easier? Yes. It is much easier. The jobs that were taking a long time will now take less time. Outline some of the advantages it gives to internal customers. Customers are more satisfied. They can know the level to which their request reaches. They are up-to-date. They know where their request will reach and how long it will take. They have a clear idea of what they want. Dubai Police is a progressive organisation that strives to enhance our operations to better serve our citizens, so this is a key initiative for Dubai Police and the project was in the planning and assessment stage for nine months, while the implementation has taken around the same length of time. Can you provide reasons as to why Axios was the stand-out partner for this project? A number of primary differentiators pointed us towards Axios; technically, the assyst platform has Arabic language native in the platform; it allows comprehensive integration with other systems and, as an enterprise product, will support Dubai Police’s further development within and outside the services department. Axios’ own technical delivery team in Dubai also means we had the experts available at all times, which is important for project success. What would you say is particularly innovative about this project? Brigadier Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, General Director of Artificial Intelligence, answered further questions on behalf of Dubai Police. Can you give us the time scales behind the project and the cost-factor involved for the implementation and maintenance? www.intelligentcio.com Always thinking of the future, one of the main goals was to employ a platform that would cater for Dubai Police’s long-term services strategy and vision, and with greater adoption and new use case applications of assyst, Dubai Police are already planning the next stage of expansion. As a result of the project, Axios presented Dubai Police with an Innovation Award for Service Management. Glyn Yates said: “The award was the result of a global Axios committee who identified Dubai Police’s strategy and commitment towards service excellence and smart government, through the dedication and foresight of the Dubai Police leadership to the diligence and execution of the operational and project team. It is clear to see Dubai Police Smart Services are leading the way with their accomplishments.” n “As a part of a number of initiatives driven by our services division, Dubai Police has experienced an increase in citizen happiness.” INTELLIGENTCIO 31
