A new report released by Cisco has headlined with the news that a majority of CSOs cite budget constraints as one of biggest barriers to advancing security - never before has the region and the industry released statistics claiming that security spending is skyrocketing! So, we mind be confused by the results of this latest Cisco survey! What seems to be stemming from the report is that a reality is setting in with both large corproates and smaller enterprises; as much as they everyone realises security spending must increase, viewing cyber security as a cost centre, many companies simply implement the bare minimum standards to tick a compliance box.
