What I can say is that we moved from somewhere close to the first description I provided on an ICT function to where we are today in under two years during a period of rapid expansion and growth without spending a fortune . We completed that journey ( some might call it a transformation ) by looking at what we had , what the business needed , where it was going , what technologies and solutions were out in the market and bringing together the most appropriate solutions to meet our individual circumstances . Of course , we did a lot of research by speaking to a lot of people .
What would you say is particularly innovative about
WHILST IT IS TO BE EXPECTED FROM THE LIKES OF MICROSOFT , WE HAVE HAD JUST AS MUCH SUCCESS WITH NICHE PLAYERS LIKE NEXTHINK . ... THEY CONVINCED US TO DO A POC , AND THE RESULTS EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS PROVIDING A LEVEL OF INSIGHT FOR OUR SERVICE DESK THAT WE DID NOT KNOW WAS POSSIBLE this project ( s )? The most innovative thing we do is to find partners that are right for us . When we find them we engage frequently , constructively and collaboratively with them to get the most out of their products for our business . We have done this with both the larger organisations , such as Microsoft and AutoDesk , and smaller ones like Gigwerks and Nexthink . In each case we meet frequently , we discuss the needs of our business with them and explore opportunities and areas where they can assist . In most cases , we engage in a Proof of Concept ( PoC ) to prove that we can achieve our objectives before committing .
Whilst it is to be expected from the likes of Microsoft , we have had just as much success with niche players like www . intelligentcio . com INTELLIGENTCIO
