GITEX 2016 SPECIAL SUSE SUSE will showcase its four main product offerings for the Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) and Zero Downtime Environments - mission critical Enterprise Linux, private cloud, storage and Linux management. PURE STORAGE Pure Storage will showcase its recently launched FlashArray//m10 and FlashBlade solutions. The latest addition to the FlashArray//m family, FlashArray//m10 is a storage solution for mid-sized IT, as well as an affordable entry point to flash for larger enterprises looking to flash-enable a first key business application. FlashBlade is a scale-out, all flash storage platform that delivers all-flash performance to multi-petabyte-scale data sets at economics of less than $1/GB usable of data. “Dealing with legacy IT has become increasingly complex, expensive and painful, silently but insidiously killing productivity and sucking massive amounts of time and money better spent on accelerating innovation,” said James Petter, Vice President, EMEA, at Pure Storage. “At Pure Storage, we are committed to re-defining modern storage with simplicity first, as help customers on their journey to the all-flash data centre.” Commenting on their participation at GITEX 2016, Paul Abi-Chahine, Regional Director, EEMEA said, “The ongoing digital transformation is redefining how enterprises do businesses across the globe and across verticals. If regional organisations are to keep pace with their global competition it is critical for them to embrace the Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC), a cornerstone of the digitised economy. The SDDCs virtualise all elements of the infrastructure such as networking, storage, security, and processing power and run it as a service. With the focus being on flexibility, scalability, and redundancy, the potential impact this will have on business models is significant.” With a presence at SAP’s stand, SUSE will showcase SUSE Enterprise Linux Server for SAP. This solution can ease deployment and increase uptime of missioncritical SAP solution-based workloads on Linux, including high availability features for the public cloud and updated optimization for SAP HANA, thus saving customers time and reducing operating costs. In addition, together with their value added distributor, Aptec Middle East, an Ingram Micro company, SUSE will showcase their open source infrastructure solutions – Enterprise Linux, OpenStack Private Cloud, Software-Defined-Storage and Linux Management - that offer a platform for deploying and managing highly available enterprise-class IT services in physical, virtual or cloud infrastructure. Location: (SAP stand) Hall 6 /Aptec Middle East stand, Hall 4 In addition to showcasing their new solutions, Pure Storage will also be using GITEX as a platform showcase ‘Evergreen Storage’, the disruptive business model that allows customers to deploy storage once and independently upgrade performance, capacity & connectivity with no-downtime while keeping maintenance costs flat for the lifespan of the array and enterprises. As a result, organisations can avoid “Forklift Upgrades” every three years, which are expensive, risky and wasteful. Location: Cloud Hall 94 INTELLIGENTCIO www.intelligentcio.com
