//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// t cht lk “ I WANT TO REINFORCE THAT THE WAY WE ARE APPROACHING SECURE ACCESS IN TERMS OF SUPPORTING HYBRID IT IS A VERY UNIQUE APPROACH. www.intelligentcio.com Does the customer experience the direct effect of transitioning from a traditional approach to a hybrid approach? The way we try to achieve the results is through the end-user who is the consumer of the technology. They don’t necessarily care whether something is on-premise, cloud or hybrid. So, suppose I am the user, I am basically accessing the resource, let’s call it storage or an application, I shouldn’t have to care whether it’s in the cloud or on-premise. That’s the benefit I derive as an end-user. However, the person that deploys this, let’s call it the administrator, who is buying it from the vendor should see a lot of benefit, both in the context of economics where they don’t have to spend a lot of money in infrastructure build-out, as well as seeing a lot of efficiencies and flexibility because they have more ways and more options of deploying the services they support. So overall, from an innovation standpoint, companies should be taking a hybrid IT approach? Absolutely and there are many cases where they have done it and reaped the benefits of doing so. I want to reinforce that the way we are approaching secure access in terms of supporting hybrid IT is a very unique approach. We take this approach because we do not distinguish between on-premise and cloud and we also try to make it a seamless experience from an end-user standpoint to give them a common client experience without them having to know anything about the end deployment. That’s how we differentiate ourselves and deliver the best productivity, visibility and compliance. n INTELLIGENTCIO 99
