PROJECT UPDATE ALGERIA The Algeria Gulf Bank Headquarters project involves the construction of two 16-storey twin towers in El Biar District, Algier, Algeria. The ground floor of the building will feature an entrance hall, a reception, a conference hall and a VIP banking branch, which extends to the first floor and the basement. The second floor of the building will feature a cafeteria for employees while the remaining floors will have space for office use. SOUTH AFRICA Ilanga CSP 1 is a 100-megawatt (MW) parabolic trough plant being developed at the proposed 1.1-GW Karoshoek solar valley site, Upington, South Africa. The solar field in the project will have the following specs: heat-transfer fluid type: thermal oil; solar-field inlet temp: 293°C; and solar-field outlet temp: 393°C. The power block in the project will have the following specs: turbine capacity (gross): 100.0 MW; turbine capacity (net): 100.0 MW; and output type: steam rankine.
