Resource Center for Crisis Respite
Integral Care works with people living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) to make sure
they have the tools they need to thrive. Our Resource Center for Crisis Respite provides a safe place to stay for up
to two weeks for people with a co-occurring behavioral health diagnosis and IDD who are experiencing a mental
health crisis. Crisis Respite is an alternative to hospitalizations and other more costly interventions.
The Resource Center is a safe space for clients to learn new skills and build their health and well-being.
The professional staff offer person-centered therapeutic activities to help people in the following areas:
• Building Self-Esteem and Healthy Relationships
• Making Healthy Lifestyle Choices
• Creating Self-Help Strategies
• Learning to Adjust to Changes in Their Environment
• Establishing Exercise and Relaxation Routines
• Using Creative Arts and Self-Expression
• Building Community Living Skills
Our goal is to build on the strengths of the people we serve and support them as they reach their full potential.

Builds Well-Being
Integral Care staff worked with
a client for three years and saw
her make tremendous progress
toward living a more fulfilled,
independent life. Staff witnessed
her bravery as she advocated for
herself despite the challenges she
faced. This is a poem our client
wrote about her experience with
Integral Care’s Resource Center.
