Making Your Own Tangram
Here is a list of materials and five simple steps to creating a tangram puzzle by hand. Go ahead, be creative!
Things you will need:
- a square of paper, cardboard, or other firm material
- a ruler
- a pencil and eraser
- a pair of scissors
- markers, paint, coloured pencils and/or other decorative items (optional)
- a sharp recollection of the geometry lessons on pages 24 - 34.
Remember, the relationships between the seven tans are geometrically defined! Any 5 triangles, 1 square and 1 parallelogram just won’t do!
