A Journey Through Time

Loyd's book rode a global wave of popularity at the time. Almost as soon as tangrams spread from China to America, they became a worldwide sensation.

Books containing puzzle patterns and tile sets made of polished wood or carved ivory became extremely popular in France, England, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy.

A craze for the puzzle resurged in Germany during WWI where it went by the name, “The Sphinx”.
