The more you give of yourself to OA, the more you will get from it.

There is a lot to learn and a lot of fun to be had, you just have to be willing to work for it.

To anyone who hasn't done much outdoorsing/climbing - get out there (after doing proper preparation)! Outdoor recreation can be intimidating to get involved with, but once you experience it you will feel its value. Yes, it takes a lot to recreate safely, but start small and it will come to you. Don't be afraid to reach out to others for help getting started too.

Sarah's Tips to Prospective Guides

"My involvement with OA has shaped how I view the outdoors and the environment as a whole. Previously, I enjoyed hiking and being outside, but OA has helped me better understand our impact on the environment and how we can work to better it. It has also inspired me to practice environmentalism in my own life."
