Once again, we Aussies walked in with our usual charm, crazy backstage banter and clear passion for all things WBFF…. And proudly represented our country, our WBFF Promotors and family, and came home with our hardware under our arms/on our heads.

Fast forward to April of this year, and we took yet another stellar line up abroad, this time to the infamous Beverley Hills for what has become known as “THE” stage of stages (for professionals outside of the World Championships itself) for a triple strike at title winning. Our team of athletes was larger and included Pros & Amateurs alike, and I can honestly say that we all stepped on stage bedside the greatest in the game! The LA show presented an overall lineup of such a calibre that you would expect (or did see mere months prior) on the TOP 10 finalist on the WORLD stage. This was by far the most exhilarating, competitive and exciting show that I have personally been a part of beyond the world stage itself.

It was made even more so exciting to see some of our strong Aussie Pro’s being represented on an international stage. This was the first time that Australia had multiple high level profiles being showcased and they really couldn’t have done us more proud.

I believe that Gary Turner (GT) almost stole the show before the show began with his romantic proposal to his long time love and partner Nikkee Lee. Congrats again to you both from the entire WBFF Australia Family. GT then took to the stage, lining up against some serious muscle, to take home a Top 5 placing looking absolutely amazing.

It was a serious battle when it came to the mens Pro Fitness Divison where we had two of our home favourites and close mates on stage at the SAME time – Brian Choi & Andrew McDevitt both took turns being pulled down as direct comparisons on several occasions against who would finally take out the number one spot – Justin Gonazales. The lineup for this division was out of this world, and these boys did a sensational job working that line hard to secure their final placings of a 4th Place for Andrew and 7th Place for Brian.

I simply cant wait to see what these boys, plus our other Aussie Pro’s, bring to the World stage come August. Busily working away on their feedback and improvements, I am sure that they will be fired up to bring their best.
