It was a super finish for the superhero-themed Hawai‘i
Pacific Health Employee Giving Campaign this year.
HPH employees showed their giving power by raising
a record $1,070,115 to help patients and their families.
This is the second straight year that employee donations
surpassed the $1 million mark.
The generosity of our employees
goes hand in hand with how caring
they are of our patients and their
families,” said HPH Executive Vice
President of Human Resources and
General Services Gail Lerch, “and we
see that commitment to improve the
health and well-being of others every
day at our medical centers.”
This was HPH’s 17 th Employee Giving
Campaign and the most successful
in the organization’s history. The
majority of the money will benefit the
following programs and services at
HPH’s four medical centers:
Kapi‘olani Medical Center’s Child
Life and Chaplaincy programs
help kids and families cope with
their hospitalization.
Pali Momi Medical Center’s
Emergency and Trauma Fund
provides equipment, education and
training that are critical to supporting
Central and West O‘ahu’s only Level
III Trauma Center.
Straub Medical Center’s Kokua
Fund offers patient emergency
assistance for out-of-pocket costs
that can be devastating when a
medical crisis arises.
Wilcox Medical Center’s Tele-
medicine program provides more
specialty services and physicians for
Kaua‘i, allowing patients to receive
care without traveling to O‘ahu.
“We are proud to have employees at
every level of our organization who
believe so deeply in our mission to
create a healthier Hawai‘i,” Gail said.
