Editor’s Note
A
s you prepare to say
good-bye to 2013 and
hello to 2014, take a moment to reflect on the life
lessons you learned this year. Perhaps
you had to endure some difficult trials,
disappointments, or set-backs that tested your faith beyond your own understanding. No matter what the challenging circumstances you experienced
this year, the good news is that you
don't have to take last year’s worries
into the New Year. The New Year will
have enough worries of its own.
As I reflect on this year, I am reminded of the scripture verse that says, “but
one thing I do: forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth
unto those things which are
ahead”(Philippians3:13).
God does not want you stuck in yesterday’s regrets. He wants you free
from your past and excited about your
future. God in all His goodness has
His favor in storage waiting just for
you, but you cannot receive it if you
are still grieving over something that
no longer has any place in your
life. Now is the time to move on.
So when the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, make sure
you turn the page on 2013 and start
a new chapter that begins with
“2014 will be the best year of my
life.” God Bless You!
