Sometimes I like to think about yesterday To now feel this way is really quite amazing my life has been like living in a raging storm no longer do I stand in the raging storm My path has taken me in many directions Because of that morning when everything changed when suddenly I saw everything I have many times I´ve felt like running leave the dream behind Like the air I breathe the grass growing under my feet But then one morning everything changed a face to smile at people passing by suddenly I saw everything I have and up above that great big wonderful sky (repeat) Like the air I breathe The song has been kindly provided the grass growing under my feet by the author Peter Taylor to serve A face to smile at people passing by and up above that great big wonderful sky the purpose of this lesson plan. He has experienced intense feelings in the past. 2. He has been rejected. 3. He has been hopeless on numerous occasions. 4. He looks forward to the beginning of a new day. Ask the students how the song makes them feel. What does the songwriter have now? How does it make him feel? Let them go back to their initial notes and see if they want to change anything in their list. Hopefully, they will come to the conclusion that we should be grateful for every single day we have and all the little things in life that make it glorious. Ask your students to write a poem or compose a song with the title “Everything I have”. 22
