Last summer, I went to America with my parents. The most impressive scenic spot is Yellowstone National Park which is the first National Park in the world. We saw a lot of wild animals, such as bulls, swans and deer. The animals live in the park freely. Many people took pictures in front of the large herd of bulls. It’s said that there are bears and wolves but we didn’t see any. It has many types of geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser. Once the eruption starts, the jet will grow, stop, grow again and after two or three times, reaches maximum height. What a magnificent sight it is! We also visited the beautiful springs in the Yellowstone Park. Some of them are big and are red, orange, yellow, green and blue. They are colorful because of the microbes living inside. Other springs are very hot. Mist comes out of the large hole and everything we saw was white. Most of the park is covered in green but some trees died because of the underground heat. There is also a big hole in the park and small lakes. We were shocked by what we learnt in the little museum in the park. We learnt that the whole park is a huge volcano. It’s the biggest volcano in the world. Imagine how much damage will be caused if it erupts! The Yellowstone Park is definitely an amazing place. That’s my favorite place. . 35
