Step 1 Ask the students to unscramble the letters :

Step 2 . Hand out the worksheet ( or show it on the board using a projector ) and say that these are idioms related to LOVE . Give the students 5 min to match the idioms with the correct meaning .
Step 3 Ask the students to work in pairs or groups of three and write a romantic story using 6 of the idioms and the title “ Be my Valentine ”. If you want , you could ask them to use a certain tense or construction , for example Past Simple and Past Continuous .
Step 4 For the last exercise you will need access to the Internet . After you check the stories for mistakes , the students have to animate the story . In order to animate the story , the students can use this website : https :// spark . adobe . com . Once they find the photos , they can order them , record a narration and even select music to go with it . It ’ s easy , free and lots of fun . At the end of the class , each group plays their video and the students vote for their favourite one .
