For his images containing human subjects,
mostly complete strangers, Dorsett excels
at capturing the perfect moment in which
a person is most human. In “Dry Heart”,
Dorsett skillfully shoots from a low angle,
encapsulating the cracked and weathered
earth in the foreground, as a woman stands
forlorn in the backdrop amidst a grey sky.
“I scout out the perfect location and wait
for the right strangers to appear. This makes
the photo one of a kind,” Dorsett revealed.
