Building Tomorrow, Today
The third annual Building Tomorrow Project Celebration was held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. The
Building Tomorrow Project (BTP) is a collaboration
between Enfield Public Schools (EPS) and LEGO Education. As a result of BTP, LEGO product is used in all
EPS classrooms, kindergarten through fifth grade.
The goal of this project is to help our students become collaborative and creative critical thinkers and
problem solvers. We are building the skills necessary for their future, today.
The event took place at the newly renovated Stowe
Early Learning Center located on Post Office Road
with over two hundred people in attendance. Many
families that were present had attended one or
both of the previous Building Tomorrow Project Celebration events. This event has evolved through the
years and has truly become a night centered on EPS
students and their learning.
The gym at the Stowe Early Learning Center was setup with sixty students showcasing their work. The

students’ ability to explain their builds, the ideas
that went into their work, and how their build
aligned with their learning is proof of the success of
the project. There were also life-size LEGO models
available for unique photo opportunities. Enfield
Public Schools was represented at the event by
twenty-two teachers assisting the students with the
showcase. There were also twenty-five volunteers
from LEGO that helped make the event possible. We
thank all volunteers and members of the public who
supported this event for making it a memorable
evening.
