Black Heritage Festival
at Longleaf Botanical Gardens
"Poems of the Past: Whispers of our
Ancestors" Festival Coordinator, Mrs.
Georgia Calhoun, returns to organize the
longest running Black Heritage Festival
in Alabama! Join us the third Saturday in
February as we celebrate Black History
Month at the Museums and Gardens! The
festival begins at 10:00am at the Longleaf
Botanical Gardens and includes: Children’s
Oration Competition, music, and African-
inspired vendors available to shop. Show
your festival wristband at the front desk of
Anniston Museum of Natural History and
Berman Museum for free admission all day
Saturday. Baby Boys BBQ will be onsite
with lunch available for purchase. Plan to
